Please help us get the word out to anyone that would still like to race. Registration is open until Friday, May 2nd 11:59pm. There is no day of race registration.
Photos
Photographer extraordinaire, Joe Viger, will be taking photos so prepare your race pose for when you pass him on the trail! Take a look at Joe Viger Photography’s album of all the fun we had last year. For those new to our trails, this can also give you a glimpse of what to expect out there.
Course Info, Trail Conditions & Shoe Recommendation
We encourage familiarizing yourself with the course layout ahead of time. Please note that this is a 2 loop course. For returning racers, the layout has shifted on the alpine slope portion and there’s a new final descent. We think you’ll really like the changes!
We recommend wearing shoes with good tread to navigate the slippery and sloppy parts of the trail. The trails have a bit of everything – roots, rocks, bridge and stream crossings, and mud! The weather on Sunday looks good with temperatures in the 50s, however there is rain forecast leading into race day so there will likely be slick spots. Click Here for course details and maps.
Feed Station | Finish Line with Untapped
Feed Station (5 mile) – Untapped Mapleaid Hydration and water
Finish Line – Untapped Mapleaid Hydration and water
We encourage racers to bring their own cup or bottle to refill at the feed station. We will also have paper cups.
A note from Paul Kirsch: Chair of the USATF-NE Mountain/Ultra/Trail Committee
For those of you doing the USATF-NE Mountain Circuit, remember to renew your USATF membership for 2025 so that you can be counted in the series results (and earn your coveted Mountain Goat Status/Mt. Washington Bypass).
Updating your Entry on RunReg – Did you forget to add club name or USATF #?
Login to your RunReg account and you can edit your entry until May 2. Changes after May 2nd can be made on race day at bib pickup.
Pancakes!
We are psyched to have pancakes for all after the race! Kasie is bringing Running Saps Maple Syrup and we’ll have both regular and GF pancakes. Plates and forks provided, but also please feel free to bring your own reusable plate and fork.
Kids Race
The kids race is a fun mini-trail run for kids. We’ll have a short lollipop race for the youngest kids (2-5 year olds), then 1 and 2 lap options for the older kids. Registration is free and you can sign up on RunReg until May 2 or in person on the lower deck. Kids race start time is 11:15am. Come by 11:00am for day of registration. More Kids Race Info Here
Camping
Folks coming in the day before are welcome to car/van/truck camp in Cochran’s parking lot. If you would like to pitch a tent, we just ask that you please stick to the alpine ski trails or parking lot (no tents on the lodge side of the parking lot, or at the start/finish area). Camping is free. The base lodge will be unlocked and has a sink if you need water. We appreciate your respect for Cochran’s property! More Lodging Info Here
We’re looking forward to seeing you this Sunday at Cochran’s!!
