Ways to Ride Share

We always encourage all racers, volunteers and spectators to carpool to reduce our event’s environmental footprint. Ride sharing is especially important this year since we decided to try pushing our numbers a bit. Help us avoid regret and be kind to the planet at the same time!

Vermont has a lot of very useful and convenient Park & Rides. Even if you can’t carpool for the entire trip to Sleepy Hollow Inn Ski & Bike Center on Sunday, you could set up a partial carpool by arranging to meet fellow racers at a Park & Ride en route. Enhance your trip by coordinating your Park & Ride choice with Vermont’s other main attractions (see local breweries… for non-driving consumption only and Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops).

Popular options along Interstate 89:

  • Richmond Park & Ride – ON US 2 SOUTH OF EXIT 11 ON I-89
  • Waterbury Park & Ride – OFF VT100 NE OF EXIT 10 ON I-89 ON LINCOLN ST. OFF STOWE ST.
  • Montpelier Park & Ride – DOG RIVER RD. OFF MONTPELIER STATE HWY NW OF EXIT 8 ON I-89
  • Sharon Park & Ride – ON VT 132 SOUTH OF EXIT 2 ON I-89

Depending on how many separate cars arrive at Sleepy Hollow, there may need to be parking along the driveway up to the Start/Finish area once this upper lot fills. This driveway is about a half mile long, so arrive early to leave extra time for a little bit of walking.

Thanks in advance!
